Silver Spur Stables tries to manage each horse as an individual and allow them to have the turn out schedule, feed program and routine that is best for them. We work with each trainer and owner to provide a flexible schedule including group and night turn outs, and grass and alfalfa hay fed in any combination the horse prefers. Arenas are maintained to ensure quality footing for both flat work and jumping. The stalls and barn area are cleaned regularly and our manure is removed in a large dumpster weekly which limits flies and other bugs. SSS has a large and airy barn aisle with fans and insulation on the ceiling to keep the barn cooler in summer and warmer in winter. With ample grooming areas, wash racks and farrier stations the horses and people have plenty of space. Each horse also has their own stall cubby for blankets, sheets, boots and fly masks as well as top and bottom tack lockers for increased space to store tack and equipment.
